IS YOUR FOOD ILLEGAL?!

5 DANGEROUS INGREDIENTS BANNED IN EUROPE (THAT AMERICANS EAT DAILY)

Dr. Chad Walding, DPT

Friend, if you knew some of the “healthy” foods at your local grocery store were ILLEGAL in other countries, would you still put them in your cart?

Surprisingly this list includes more than 30 products very popular in U.S. households…

Fast, cheap, easy options in that other countries have BANNED due to the fact that they contain ingredients proven to cause:

  • Inflammation (a root cause of many chronic diseases)
  • Kidney, Liver, & Lung Issues
  • Irritability & Depression
  • Migraines
  • A Weakened Gut Lining
  • High Triglyceride Levels (which contribute to heart problems)
  • And MORE…

What chemicals are lurking in the ingredients of some of America's favorite foods? What production practices are standardized in the United States but illegal in other parts of the world?

Today, we’ll look at just 5 of the culprits – 5 dangerous foods you should check your fridge & pantry for and (should you find them) throw out IMMEDIATELY:

1.)  Wheat Thins, Rice Krispies, & Honey Bunches of Oats

According to market data, Wheat Thins are the fifth best-selling cracker brand in the U.S. However, they are BANNED in the U.K., Japan, and parts of Europe, because they contain an ingredient called BHT, or butylated hydroxytoluene.*

Long-term exposure to high doses of BHT has been proven toxic in animal studies, causing thyroid and kidney problems. It has also been linked to impaired lung function & blood coagulation

Toxicological studies have shown it can also cause enlargements in the liver, inflammatory effects in the lungs, renal dysfunction, and a decrease in potassium levels. BHT can also act as a tumor promoter in certain situations.*

This lab-made flavor enhancer is also found in common breakfast cereals, frozen foods, and chewing gum.

2.) Gatorade & Little Debbie Cakes

This “hydration assistant” and “innocent treat” are banned in the European Union because they contain dyes like yellow 5, yellow 6, and red 40.

Red dye 40, made from petroleum, is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in foods and drinks… however potential side effects can include irritability and depression, asthma, skin irritation, migraines, and tumor growth.

When it comes to the yellow side of the rainbow… researchers found that although this food coloring wasn’t immediately toxic to white blood cells, it does damage DNA, causing calls to mutate over time.

3.) Skittles & Chewing Gum (Eclipse, Trident, & Mentos)

Skittles are also banned due to dyes, but the country of Norway actually banned Skittles because they contain titanium dioxide.

An inorganic chemical, titanium dioxide is used as a base dye, something like a "paint primer" that's used before color is added – this ingredient is common in many items beyond Skittles including cake mixes & chewing gum.

Titanium dioxide is proven to weaken the gut lining and worsen the progression of inflammatory bowel disease… other studies have also shown titanium dioxide can cause DNA damage and genetic instability.*

4.) Chlorinated Chicken

In the U.S., chicken is routinely washed in a chlorine solution before it is market ready.

This antimicrobial treatment is supposed to reduce the possibility of salmonella contamination and other bacteria… but is also the main reason the European Union has had a ban on American chicken since 1997.

The EU is not concerned about chlorine consumption per se. Rather, it questions why the chicken must go through deep cleaning in the first place. The EU thinks there should be a “high level of safety throughout the food chain, from farm to fork,” not only cleaning the meat heavily at the end of the process to compensate for insufficient hygiene standards earlier.

Plus, research from Southampton University found that disease-causing bacteria like listeria and salmonella ‘remain active’ after chlorine washing. Chlorine washing just makes it impossible to detect the bacteria in the lab, giving a false impression that the bacteria have been killed when they haven’t.

This means chlorine-washed chicken could still carry salmonella and other bacteria, which is a clear human health risk. In fact, rates of food poisoning have been recorded several times higher in the US than in the UK.

5.) Coffee-mate Creamer

Trans fats like the partially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oils in Coffee-mate were officially “banned” in the U.S. as of June 18, 2018, but certain loopholes allow them to continue to be used in products.

Trans fats are a particularly dangerous type of fat that are great at preserving the shelf life of processed foods, but terrible for your cardiovascular health (proven to increase your risk of developing heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and stroke).

Banned in many other countries such as Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Iceland, Norway, and Denmark…the Food and Drug Administration still hasn’t forced manufacturers to remove these dangerous artificial fats from our food.

In fact, labeling guidelines allow manufacturers to put a ‘0’ in the column next to trans fats if a food contains less than 0.5 grams per serving. It’s easy to see how, then, the average American still consumes 1.3 grams of artificial trans fats every day.

Not to mention, creamers like Coffee-mate are generally made from various types of sugar, unnecessary stabilizers, and a whole host of artificial flavorings.

Now, I understand…

DRINKING COFFEE IS MORE THAN A MORNING HABIT…

It's a ritual.

From the sound of it brewing to the rich aroma that fills the house...it provides a grounding, comforting feeling like no other.

However, if you take your coffee with a few splashes of coffee creamer, it may turn that comforting cup into toxic sludge.

I know, I know, you’re probably thinking, “It’s just a couple of tablespoons a day, Dr. Chad—how bad could it be?"

Well, there’s a strong chance that your coffee creamer—even if it says “organic” or “sugar-free”—contains one or more toxic ingredients.

4 (EXTRA) REASONS YOUR COFFEE CREAMER MAY BE TOXIC

What used to consist of just one ingredient—the coffee bean itself—can easily be transformed into a mug of digestion-destroying, hormone-imbalancing, inflammation-causing poison.

Here are the 4 most common coffee creamer ingredients you need to look out for... in addition to the hidden trans fats:

1.) Thickeners (Carrageenan, Gellan Gum, Cellulose Gum)

Did you know that most coffee creamers aren't actually made with cream?

Instead, they get their rich, velvety taste from thickening agents and emulsifiers like carrageenan—a thickener, stabilizer, and texturizer found in non-dairy products that’s known to cause inflammation, digestive problems, and cancer.

In one long-term animal study, animals were fed a concentration of 0.1 to 5% carrageenan and in just 6 to 12 weeks, colitis and tumors began to appear.

Further research indicates that this food additive causes the gut to become irritated and inflamed—creating holes in the lining of the gut (i.e. leaky gut syndrome). When food gets caught in these holes, it wreaks havoc on the digestive system, leading to chronic illness.

2.) Fillers (Locust Bean Gum)

Fillers like locust bean gum—while generally considered safe, are just unnecessary.

Don’t worry, locust bean gum is NOT made from locusts (a type of grasshopper). It’s a natural food thickener derived from the seeds of carob trees. Although safe to consume, some individuals may be allergic to it, causing breathing problems and asthma.

3.) Chemical Preservatives

Preservatives protect your food from mold, air, bacteria, fungi, yeast, and food contamination.

Here’s the catch: There are preservatives that are natural and one’s that are chemically manufactured...

Two chemically manufactured preservatives include:

  • Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA)
  • Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)

These two preservatives keep foods from changing color, changing flavor, or becoming rancid.

One study found that BHA and BHT negatively affected sleep by altering serotonin and norepinephrine levels (a stress hormone released by the brain when it perceives a stressful event has occurred).

In addition, the use of BHA and BHT have been linked to endocrine-disrupting effects and reproductive disorders.

Although they’re generally recognized as safe in the U.S., they’re BANNED in many other countries including Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and throughout Europe.

4.) Artificial Sweeteners

“Sugar-free”...but at what cost?

Artificial sweeteners like Aspartame, Sucralose, and Acesulfame Potassium are sugar substitutes that duplicate the effect of sugar in taste, but usually have little to no calories.

Side Note: Zero calorie products actually lead to weight gain.

Side effects of artificial sweeteners include:

  • Allergic reactions such as hives and swelling
  • Bladder cancer
  • Bloating
  • Brain tumors
  • Diarrhea
  • Nausea
  • Infertility
  • Seizures
  • Weight gain

5 HARMFUL COFFEE CREAMERS TO AVOID AT ALL COST

The number of toxic coffee creamers is growing.

We’ve already talked about Coffee-mate, so let’s review 5 others that currently dominate the market...

1.) Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts Original Coffee Creamer is jam packed with sugar, corn syrup, cream, artificial flavors, artificial colors, palm oil, dipotassium phosphate, potassium citrate, and last but not least—carrageenan.

2.) Starbucks

Starbucks released their first creamer collection (Caramel, White Chocolate, and Cinnamon Dolce) in August of 2019.

Although they may contain less sugar than their top lattes, macchiatos, and Frappuccino's (which range from 35 to 69 grams of sugar), most Starbucks Coffee Creamers contain 6 grams of sugar PER tablespoon. So with just 3 tablespoons, you’re already at 18 grams of sugar.

When you take into account that the recommended daily amount of sugar for men and women is 25 and 30 grams respectively, 18 grams first thing in the morning isn’t the best choice.

3.) International Delight

International Delight made its grand appearance in 1987 and is dubbed “the world’s first flavored liquid non-dairy coffee creamer”.

They were, in fact, the gateway creamer that brought a new intention to the coffee creamer industry: Creamers could be more than just a substitute for milk.

Each tablespoon of International Delight Coffee Creamer includes a whopping 5 grams of sugar. And that’s not all…

Its ingredient list includes water, cane sugar, and palm oil, and contains 2% or less of: sodium caseinate* (a milk derivative), dipotassium phosphate, carrageenan, mono and diglycerides, natural & artificial flavors, sodium stearoyl lactylate, salt.

That’s NINE ingredients in just one tablespoon of creamer (and that’s not including the natural and artificial flavors...whatever those could be).

4.) Silk

Silk may be a plant-based coffee creamer, but it still contains all the nasty ingredients of traditional coffee creamers.

For instance, ingredients in Silk’s Vanilla Almond Creamer include almond milk, cane sugar, high oleic sunflower oil, pea protein, potassium citrate, baking soda, sunflower lecithin, natural flavor, sea salt, gellan gum.

5.) Any “Sugar-Free” Coffee Creamer

Any coffee creamer that has “sugar-free” slapped on its label should be avoided.

Sugar free usually implies artificial sweeteners like Aspartame, Sucralose, Erythritol, and more.

Now, of course, I’m not going to tell you all the coffee creamers & ingredients to avoid without giving you an A+ alternative to turn to…

GOOD FATS MAKE GREAT COFFEE

NativePath Collagen Creamers use only the best ingredients nature has to offer – which is why we put coconut-derived MCTs in our blend.

MCTs have some remarkably unique health benefits when consumed regularly, including:

Fast Energy:

Thanks to their unique structure, MCTs don’t need to be digested the same way other dietary fats do. MCTs are quickly absorbed and then sent straight to the liver to be immediately used for energy by the body making for a perfect quick energy boost that lasts all day.

Boosts Metabolism:

Due to the efficient conversion of MCTs into energy and the direct pathway of MCTs to the mitochondria (your body’s power plants), your metabolism increases as does your body’s propensity to burn stored fat.

Decrease Cravings:

Studies have shown that coconut-derived MCTs help reduce cravings between meals and decrease food intake at your following meal.

Weight Loss Support:

MCTs appear to induce thermogenesis, or heat generation in the body – helping to burn fat and reduce unwanted weight. A related study showed that consuming MCTs increased the body's energy expenditure in overweight individuals, leading to a loss of body fat.

Brain Food:

Taking MCTs has been found to increase brain energy by 8 to 9%. MCTs can delay brain aging by promoting the repair of brain cell damage.

Good For Your Gut:

MCTs have been well-studied for their antifungal and antimicrobial properties. Evidence shows that MCTs may also have a positive effect on gut health by stimulating good bacteria while reducing the growth of certain bad bacteria helping to improve digestion and even mood.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How many jars should I order?

Our most popular quantity is our 4 jar package which you will get at an unbeatable price of just $24 per jar (retails for $39.99).

At the normal retail price, this package would cost $159.96 but through this special page, you can take advantage of our limited-time discount and get 4 full-size jars for a total of just $96. That’s a massive savings of over $63.96!

Plus you’ll also get FREE SHIPPING on this order.

Q: How many servings are in each jar?

Our NativePath Hazelnut MCT & Collagen Coffee Creamer contains 20 servings.

Q: What is the best way to use this product?

The easiest way to use NativePath MCT & Collagen Coffee Creamer is to mix a serving into 8-12 oz coffee. But you can also add creamer to tea, smoothies, or yogurt if you like.

Q: What is collagen, anyway?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body, accounting for about a third of its protein composition. It's one of the major building blocks of bones, skin, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Collagen is also found in many other body parts, including blood vessels, corneas, and teeth.

Q: Why should I add collagen to my diet?

While our bodies are fully equipped to produce collagen naturally – once we hit our early 30's, it begins to decline by about 1.5% per year.

Have you ever wondered why our skin begins to sag and wrinkle as we get older? It’s because as we age, our bodies' natural production of collagen begins to slow down. The creaking, popping joints, dull skin, cellulite, brittle hair, and digestive issues aren’t necessarily simply a factor of age, they’re actually all symptoms of low collagen levels.

Fortunately, science has shown us a natural way that we can fight back against aging. By supplementing with a high-quality hydrolyzed collagen powder, we can boost our body’s natural production and experience all of the positive youth-rebooting benefits. In this way, we can easily restore and regenerate collagen levels to help maintain radiant health at any age.

Q: When will I receive my order?

You can expect to receive your order within 7-10 business days.

Q: Is it really safe to order this product from this online website?

Yes. Our website is protected by Trust-Guard, an online PCI Compliant Security Scanner software that prohibits security holes from compromising your shopping experience. The Security-Scanned seal is intended to inform shoppers that our business is certified and trusted as safe, responsible, and totally awesome.

Q: What if this product doesn’t work for me?

Many of our customers begin to see and feel a difference shortly after adding our premium collagen coffee creamer into their diets. However, we want to make sure there’s absolutely no risk involved when it comes to investing in any of our NativePath products.

That’s why you can try our creamer for an entire 365 days and if for any reason you're not completely satisfied, simply contact our Customer Care team, and they will be happy to assist you.

So rest assured, you can complete your order today knowing that you're protected by our 365-Day Feel Good Guarantee.
